Will is an internationally recognized thought leader on water strategy and innovation. He has been a sustainability and water strategy advisor to multinationals, water technology companies and NGOs for his entire career. Will works with multinationals on corporate water strategies, water technology innovation and water market entry strategies. His work with water technology companies is as a strategy advisor and investor. Prior to Water Foundry Will was a Managing Director at Deloitte Consulting and led the company’s water strategy practice. He was the founder and CEO of DOMANI, a sustainability strategy firm, prior to Deloitte. As a seasoned author Will has written numerous books and articles and continues to present on subjects such as the value of water, innovations in digital water technology, the circular economy, and the energy-water-food nexus. He is the Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Committee for the WAITRO Global Innovation Summit 2020, on the Executive Council of NOAA’s National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS); Editorial Board of the Journal of Water Security and a Technical Advisor for the Climate Bonds Initiative: Nature- Based Solutions for Climate and Water Resilience. He was a 2016 XPRIZE Bold Visioneer for the Safe Drinking Water Team and was on the Scientific Program Committee for Stockholm World Water Week; from 2013 through 2019.

An award-winning environmental journalist, he has had articles and comments published in The Times, The Guardian, CNN, the Grocer magazine and a Swedish institute publication, WaterFront.
After graduating from Exeter University with a BA (Hons) in English, he completed his journalism training with PMA in London. After spending five years working on renewable energy, recycling and waste titles, he then moved into the international water market as chief editor of Water & Wastewater International (WWi) magazine.
Travelling the globe and reporting on projects from Latin America, to the Middle East and South East Asia, this role really opened his eyes to the water challenges and available solutions available around the world.
During this time he covered high profile interviews, including Singapore Environment Minister, Vivian Balakrishnan and Robert F. Kennedy Jnr, as well as multiple CEOs.
In the summer of 2018, he launched Atlantean Media, a global digital content creation company serving the environmental engineering industries, specifically water. The company was born out of a need to bring engineering-based content to life.
Through Atlantean Tom represents Aquatech Global Events as content director and also serves as the content strategist for new feature-length documentary, Brave Blue World, featuring Matt Damon and Jaden Smith.

Mark is also a provider of B2B video exchange communities in the retail, logistics, energy and other sectors. ConnectMii has strategic partnerships with organizations such as Convenience Store Decisions Magazine, WholeFoods Magazine, to organize pre-arranged buyer/seller B2B video exchange retail category meetings and events.
He has over 30 years’ experience in event management, with specific expertise in video technology integration into events. He has produced fully virtual online events, from webcasts to immersive virtual event environments, on behalf of corporate clients and associations, including the GMDC*Connect offerings from trade association GMDC. Mark’s event experience ranges from corporate meetings to major international exhibitions, in diverse locations in the USA, Europe, Australia and Asia. He has run numerous large events worldwide, including Telepresence World, An Evening with Picasso, EServicesWorld and the Mission Critical Computing Series for HP.
Prior to Hemisphere, Mark owned FBMA, which ran scores of events throughout Asia, India, Australia and the USA, including the MOBILE COMMS series for the emerging mobile communications industry; Custody & Clearing and Structured Investing Congresses; and CyberPayments, CyberTrading and CyberSecurity events for the financial industry. In 1993, FBMA sold its events to Advanstar. Mark developed a pioneering online event streaming media technology that was acquired by Akamai Technologies. Before FBMA, Mark owned MediaPlus, which introduced electronic banking into China with the Electronic Fund Transfer shows, and ultimately led to a World Bank-funded project to modernize China’s banks.
